The Committee on Ministry is appointed by the Minister and the Board. The committee provides supervision, support and advocacy for the ministerial staff and serves to mediate conflict. The intent is to enhance the quality of the ministry within the Congregation. Congregation members, appointed by the congregation, provide insightful planning and evaluation of UUCS religious, spiritual, worship, educational and social justice programs and services. The committee provides recommendations to the Minister and Board for improvement and enhancement of the UUCS ministry to further the accomplishment of the UUCS mission and vision.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as a support group for the Minister and the Congregation on ministry issues.
• Meet routinely to review, evaluate and plan around religious, spiritual, worship, educational and social justice programs and services.
• Confer with the UUCS Minister.
• Select a committee chair who acts as a liaison to the Board and provides routine reports on the activities of the Committee.
• Provide counsel to the Board on policies and procedures of the congregation related to the ministry.
