Thirty Years of Memories

Thirty Years of Memories

There aren’t many congregations able to sustain a long term relationship with a minister in these unsettled times – no UU congregation in the Pacific Northwest – and few continent wide – has had the same settled minister for as long as UUCS – 30 years. This speaks volumes about the goodness and tolerance of the members and the core strength of the congregation. Too many congregations expect perfect ministers and some few others – like UUCS – learn to accept and encourage the flawed but well-intentioned souls who experience a call to serve the greater good.

A Place of Shelter for Twenty Five Years

Over a quarter of a century ago our congregation was one of the founding members of the shelter program now known as “Family Promise” – which provides food, shelter and the guidance that families need to find permanent shelter. After the pandemic the program is gearing up again and we will be able to continue when we have enough volunteer support, so please come to show support for this vital program.
