Sea Change: What can we learn from the 1960s?

The 1960s introduced many cultural changes that still influence us today. What can we learn from this era about the challenges of creating a culture based on Unitarian Universalist values and principles?

What Will I Do With My Wild and Precious Life?

We’ve invited members young and old to share their answers to this question posed by poet Mary Oliver. A good time to pause in gratitude for the gift of our lives.

Navigating Our Covenant

We often speak of Unitarian Universalism as a “covenantal” religion – one in which we are called into relationship with one another in light of our highest values. There are unique challenges and opportunities in this regard, depending upon your sex, race, class, ableism. Let’s reflect on this together.

A Beloved Forebear

Who are your spiritual ancestors? Who are the great souls whose lives of goodness, courage and compassion inspire you in your own? Come hear the story of one truly exceptional Unitarian forebear, one who has shaped my very ministry.
We will have a Halloween Costume Parade through the Sanctuary.
PLEASE NOTE: For this service we will create an “Ancestral Altar.” Please bring a picture, photo or image of a loved one who has died or perhaps an image of a figure you deeply revere.

Finding Sanctuary

It was a great day when our congregation voted to provide sanctuary for those in danger of unjust deportation. Yet the idea of sanctuary is about more than providing physical space. Who needs sanctuary? How do we find it? How does this help us in our spiritual lives?

A Heartfelt Response

Our minister was arrested for an act of nonviolent civil disobedience to protest the cruel and unjust immigration policies of our federal government. Members and friends have shown strong support for this action, yet some in our community are upset. Let’s hear their voices and concerns and Rev. Rick’s responses.
