In Defense of Liberal Religion

Significant controversy stirred within the entire UUA after the UU minister Rev. Todd Ekloff distributed his book “The Gadfly Papers: Three Inconvenient Essays by One Pesky Minister.” You are called to be involved: The voice of the laity is essential for this to be a healthy process.

Finding Sanctuary

It was a great day when our congregation voted to provide sanctuary for those in danger of unjust deportation. Yet the idea of sanctuary is about more than providing physical space. Who needs sanctuary? How do we find it? How does this help us in our spiritual lives?

Out of Alienation

Paradoxically, even as we are more connected digitally, the more isolated and alienated many become. Social disconnection is a grievous condition that more and more fall prey to. To counter the forces that drive us apart Martin Luther King, Jr. held out a vision of “Beloved Community” What does this mean for us?

A Beloved Forebear

Who are your spiritual ancestors? Who are the great souls whose lives of goodness, courage and compassion inspire you in your own? Come hear the story of one truly exceptional Unitarian forebear, one who has shaped my very ministry.
We will have a Halloween Costume Parade through the Sanctuary.
PLEASE NOTE: For this service we will create an “Ancestral Altar.” Please bring a picture, photo or image of a loved one who has died or perhaps an image of a figure you deeply revere.
