Our annual Yule/Winter Solstice Service will be Friday, December 22 at 7 pm. This event, sponsored by the Salem Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans, celebrates the return of the light and the rebirth of the Sun. Please bring a bell, rattle or noisemaker. Donations gratefully received and will be shared with the Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network as well as for support of the Salem CUUPs Circle. Snacks and Fellowship to follow the celebration.
Christmas Eve, December 24, falls on a Sunday this year. This means we’ll have one morning service at 10:30 AM and one evening service at 7:30 PM. The morning service will be a pageant-style family service; people of all ages are invited, and children (and the young-at-heart!) are especially welcome. The 7:30 pm evening service will be our traditional candlelight Christmas Eve. Please join us for any or all of these celebrations.
On Sunday, December 31 we will have a single morning service at 10:30 am, “Community and Breakfast: What Could Be Better?” The Worship Team will conduct an informal service around the theme of the importance of community and eating together. After the service, breakfast will be served in the Fellowship Hall. Come enjoy some fellowship on New Year’s Eve morning.
On New Year’s Eve, join the Dances of Universal Peace in their “Peace is in Our Hands – Global Peace Dance” Sunday, December 31, 8:00 pm. Click here for details.
