Yes! With financial contributions from UUCS congregants and friends from the wider Salem community and with design work by John Davenport in collaboration with representatives from Church at the Park (C@P), Habitat and Hope Village, Inc. (HHV) has agreed to purchase and donate its first new movable shower trailer to C@P for use by people living in their supervised micro shelter communities in the Salem area.
Amenities include one ADA accessible and two standard restroom facilities with showers, vanities, and toilets built on a 22-foot flatbed trailer. The unit is designed for hook up to city utilities so there will be no need to move it off-site to dispose of wastewater. That means more people can be served more conveniently than with traveling shower units currently in use at some locations.
Edomo, a Salem company specializing in small homes and micro shelters, will build the shower trailer. The down payment has been made and delivery is expected by Mid-June.

Together we will make a difference in the quality of life for our unsheltered neighbors.
