UUCS Religious Education has moved to a virtual platform on the internet in order to safely welcome congregants during the pandemic. I have created two virtual classrooms — one for younger children and their families, and one for youth aged 12+. The classrooms may be found using the following links:

To find these resources online, click on UUCS Children’s RE Class for younger children UUCS Youth Room for children 12 or over.

Each week the classrooms will be re-loaded with new Stories, Songs, Meditations, and Activities for families and youth to use as a collection of learning tools during the week. The activities link to a Virtual Classroom for each age group hosted on Seesaw. In order to participate in the class, you will need to register with Seesaw and join the class (it’s free). Instructions for joining both the UUCSChildren’s RE Class and the UUCS Youth Room are as follows:

If you’re using Seesaw for the first time:
1. Go to app.seesaw.me
2. Choose “I’m a Student”
3. Type in the code: GRSK CMXR. This code expires on May 30, 2020
4. Finish creating your account using your school Google account or email address
If you’ve used Seesaw before and have an account:
1. Go to app.seesaw.me
2. Choose “I’m a Student”
3. Sign in using your school Google account or email address
4. Click on your profile icon on the top left
5. Click on the +Join Class button

Sunday Morning Worship and Zoom Meetings

We will continue to gather through the Zoom app at Children & Family Service on Sunday mornings at 10 am for a live RE Worship experience, and a time to gather and share together in community. We will also be creating a time for Youth 12 and over to meet via Zoom on a weekday afternoon or evening during the Summer. Proposed times for the offering are Wednesday or Thursday at 2 pm or 4 pm. If you have a child aged 12-18 who might enjoy joining the Youth Group, and would like to find out more information, please contact Lily Walker at dlre@uusalem.org.
