Covenant Sunday December 8

At the entry to the UUCS building is a fountain in a shape reminiscent of a chalice and flame, the symbol of Unitarian Universalism. 2016-08

December 8 is a special day for UUCS, as it is a day where we, the congregation of UUCS and Rev. Monica Jacobson-Tennessen, form a bond of trust with one another–a covenant, that we may work through this transition period together. During the Sunday service there will be a Covenant Ceremony where we promise to open our hearts and minds and to be safe containers of the compassion, curiosity and wisdom that Monica offers. In turn, she promises to open her heart and mind to our congregation and to be curious about its hidden gifts.

After the service, please join the UUCS Board of Directors for a light luncheon in the Hanneman Fellowship Hall. This will cement the covenant between us, especially after having that delicious slice of cake!
As Steve Maraboli says in Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience, “Embrace uncertainty and trust the process. It often leads to the most remarkable outcomes.” May that be true for us as we continue this journey together.
