Everyone is invited to bring a flower to church on June 2 and add it to the bouquet in the lobby for our annual Flower Communion.
Every year at UUCS we celebrate our beloved Flower Communion ceremony on the first Sunday in June. Begun by Norbert Capek, a passionate Czech who became a Unitarian minister, the flower communion honors the unique beauty of each of us while making visible how we collectively create something bigger and also beautiful. You will be amazed by the beauty that emerges from such a diversity of flowers. See for yourself!
If you forget to bring a flower, don’t worry, we always have extras. At the end of the service, you are invited to take a different flower from the bouquet home with you.
