Speakers at the Women’s Alliance meeting on Tuesday, October 11, at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship hall will be Sheronne Blasi and Laura Perez, co-founders of the non-profit “Simply Birthdays.”  This organization provides opportunities for children and teens to celebrate their birthdays during their birthday months.  Supported by donations, they provide activity-filled parties complete with birthday cakes and gifts at homeless shelters in the Salem/Keizer area.  Sheronne and Laura will present a slide show and tell us more about their involvement with the homeless population in the Salem/Keizer area.

Everyone is welcome to attend the presentation and, if they wish, to stay longer for refreshments and visiting and even for the business meeting!  Also, all of you who are making jelly, pickles, etc. during this harvest season are encouraged to make extra amounts in preparation for the December 4 Holiday Bazaar.  Proceeds from this annual Alliance event raise money for the building’s needs.
