Sra. Gladis Pacca Peri is a recipient of one of the microfinance loans. She is in her late 40’s and has three sons. Her husband, Dionisio, is a mason who often works out of town, so Gladis often assumes responsibility for raising both their children and their cattle. She has five cows and three claves, and now will have a calf shelter.
Gladis and her husband are excited about on-going developments in their community. Our contributions, the calf shelters, are adding to the energy for positive change.
The community has completed an irrigation project which will increase crop yields, thereby providing better nutrition for family members and feed for cattle. Cattle sheds and calf shelters will improve cattle health and milk production. Better stoves and regular visits of a mobile dental clinic are improving health conditions. Books are boosting children’s education in the local school.
