If you are comfortable with spreadsheets, reliable, and willing to learn, then serving our congregation as Treasurer may be your calling. The opening is for the final year of a 3-year term. The Treasurer is an officer of the board, who produces monthly reports based on information from the bookkeeper, maintains the list of pledges and donations and answers questions from congregants about their pledges and donations. The Treasurer also uses the Breeze database to send out pledge statements in January for the previous calendar year and, in July, for the current fiscal year. It’s a valuable service that offers insight into the finances of the church.
