Flower Communion June 5

Flower Communion is coming up on June 5. We will have our traditional Flower Communion Service, reminding us of both our uniqueness and connection as human beings in this world. In addition, we will have special guest speaker, Professor Ruben L. F. Habito from SMU – Perkins School of Theology. Habito’s teachings focus on world religions, East Asian Buddhism, theology of religions and comparative theology, and interreligious perspectives in spirituality and mysticism. He has researched Japanese medieval Buddhism, themes in comparative theology, spirituality and socio-ecological engagement.

There are two ways to participate: 1) Before May 23, send a picture of flowers to productionteam@uusalem.org. The pictures will used as a slide show during the service. On June 5, bring a flower to church to put into the common Congregational Bouquet that will be created by your gifts of the flowers you bring.

Thank you ahead of time for making this year a special Flower Communion Service. – The Worship Team.
