Happy Fall from Behind the Chalice. As we again take a pause from in-person services, let us continue finding out more about the people from Behind the Chalice. This month it is Becky Harrison. Welcome Becky. And here is what she said:
Name: Becky Harrison. Position/s for Sunday Services: Soundboard.
What do you most like about your position/s: It brings me back to when I was a late-night programmer at KBOO radio in Portland. I also like helping out with the production of our services.
What is one thing you would change: —
What is your idea of perfect happiness: Being one with my health, friends, and life.
What is your greatest achievement: Writing 6 books and getting my BS in Science the same month that I turned 19 years old.
What do you regard as the lowest depths of despair: apathy.
What is your greatest extravagance: Volunteer travels around the world.
Who or what is the greatest love of your life: No one at this time.
Who are your heroes in fiction: One is Billy Pilgrim from Slaughterhouse-Five.
Who are your heroes in real life: the late Harry Chapin, Pete Seeger, and Ralph Nadar.
What is a meaningful piece of music for you: Fur Elise.
Where do you like to go in nature to revive: the Oregon Coast.
Anything else: I loved being a special education teacher in the Portland Public Schools. I felt that I made a difference in some lives, as well as my own.
So there you have it.
Until next time we remain yours in service from Behind the Chalice.
