What is Happening in the UUA? And, Why We Should Care – May 11

The UUA was founded on democratic principles. How did democratic process get lost in the operation and governance of the Unitarian Universalist Association? Why should it matter to us? Join Rick, Kate Rhode and UUA Board of Trustee candidate Jay Kiskel in a lively Zoom conversation about the loss of democracy and congregational participation in the governing of our UUA. The Zoom meeting will be at 6 pm on Tuesday, May 11.

Many of us have been somewhat aware of what is going on. The Committee on Ministry has hosted several discussions about the way the UUA (and UUMA, Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association) have treated Rev. Todd Eklof of the Spokane UU Church and our Reverend Rick. This will provide you with an opportunity to learn more and learn what you and we can do. Click here to join 6 pm Tuesday.

The Committee on Ministry has prepared a document for you to read here. It includes some background and history that we hope will help you to participate in the meeting next Tuesday.
