Your UUCS Committee on Ministry (COM) began work last fall on revising our Covenant of Good Relations. We decided to involve the congregation in this process and created a questionnaire to survey members and guests about the statements that make up our current Covenant. More than 90 of you completed the survey!

COM reviewed the results and selected statements and ideas that scored the highest on the scale of most important. Committee members then edited the statements for clarity and came up with six statements to be included in the new Covenant.

But the work is not yet ready to present to the congregation. Committee members are reviewing contents of covenants at other Unitarian Universalist churches for additional statements to include.

The COM also will work with the Safer Congregation Committee to develop a program of classes, workshops, and other tools to help members and guests of the congregation to implement the revised covenant.
