Oil Painters, Water Colorists, Fiber Artists, Photographers and more are invited to participate in the first art exhibit at and for UUCS congregants. “Celebrating Creativity” will be held in the Fellowship Hall from Sunday, March 24 – 31, 2019. START NOW to create a special piece for this Art Works Team event. All art must be for sale and be able to hang on a wall for display.

Entry forms with all the details of how to submit a work of art are available in the UUCS foyer. They are located in a tray on the credenza behind the Joys and Concerns book stand. If you have additional questions look for Art Works members wearing red-flowered ribbons on Sunday.

Artists should bring in their artwork either Tuesday, March 19 or Wednesday, March 20 from 12 noon to 6 pm. on either day. If you can’t make either of those dates, please contact one of us so that we can make other arrangements with you. Be sure to bring in your Submission Form, the last page in the Call for Entry, and attach your filled out label to the back of your artwork and your $5 entry fee.

We invite all congregants to attend the exhibition whether after Sunday Services or during the last week of March. You may purchase a unique piece of art that you love on both Sundays of the show.

Plan on attending the Artist’s Reception, Sunday, March 31st after church service when the People’s Choice Awards will be announced. This is you chance to recognize and celebrate the visual artists among us!

Forty percent of the artwork sales will be distributed to the Art Works Team to supervise and care for works in the church’s permanent art collection. Other projects are purchasing and installing a reliable art hanging system in the building as well as developing art exhibits to foster appreciation of the visual arts at UUCS and the wider community.
