Save the Salem Peace Mosaic Meeting and Potluck July 9

On July 9, folks interested in helping to preserve the Peace Mosaic on the outside of the YMCA building will gather for a meeting and a potluck. The meeting will be held Monday, July 9 at 7:00 pm at the Friends Meeting House, 490 19th St NE, Salem. Demolition is scheduled in Feb. of 2019. Right now, there are no plans to save the mosaic.

Creating the mosaic was a rare moment when our diverse community of all ages worked together to share that Salem is the City of Peace. We hope this symbol can be preserved for future generations.
