This Satsuma Porcelain lamp has an image of a Japanese nobleman (daimyo) on horseback with his retinue passing through a castle town on one side and a view of Mt Fuji, a lake and pine trees in the foreground on the other. On the side is a special marking from the manufacturer. The lamp comes from the the estate of Charla Richards-Kretizberg, renown for her staunch support of Planned Parenthood. The lamp is both beautiful and unusual.
