Your Contribution

UUCS gratefully accepts donations from members and non-members alike. They can be a one time donation or payments on your yearly “Estimate of Giving” or pledge. You can make a donation online via PayPal, via Bill Pay through your bank, at the church or mail your contribution to our church address, attention: Finance Team. Thank you! Your generosity makes a difference.

You can specify how your contribution should be used. Typical requests include memorials, support for one of our shared ministries or for the general fund.  Donations to UUCS are tax deductible.

Online Contributions to UUCS via PayPal

UUCS uses PayPal to process online contributions, whether a one time donation, or paying your pledge. When you click on the Donate or Pay Pledge button below you are sent to our secure PayPal page, where you can use your PayPal balance, a bank account, or a credit card to make your donation.

You are not required to be a PayPal member or to join PayPal to use your credit card. However, if you do not have a PayPal account, you will be required to enter your name, address, and phone number. If you have a PayPal account, you can log in and make your payment without having to enter personal information. PayPal members can also pay their contribution by requesting a debit from a bank account.

Make a One-Time Donation

You can make a one-time donation to UUCS for such things as the Time for Generosity collection, Share the Plate, a special cause such as the Microfinance team, the Minister’s Discretionary fund or any other reason. If your intended purpose is not listed in the dropdown menu, select “Other – Please Specify”, and then click “Write a note” to specify your intended use. (See the image on the right.)

Bill Pay Through your Financial Institution

Another payment option you may want to consider is Bill Pay. Most banks and credit unions offer this service free to their customers and their payees, for example, UUCS. Often this is handled through your bank’s webpage. It will guide you through a one time process of setting up UUCS as one of your payees. They will want to know:

1. our name: Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Salem,
2. our address: 5090 Center Street NE, Salem OR 97317.

About 25% to 30% of our contributors use this method of paying their pledges and it fits well with our collection/deposit process.

Make a Pledge

You can make a pledge of financial support by filling out the pledge form. This online form is automatically mailed to the UUCS office. Pledging your support allows us to plan for our financial future and is the basis for our operating budget.

You can then pay via PayPal, via Bill Pay, at the church or mail your contribution to our church address, attention: Finance Team.
