Location

UUCS is located at 5090 Center St. NE, Salem, OR 97317, at the southeast corner of the intersection of Cordon Rd. and Center St. NE. The entrance is from Center Street. Overflow parking is across Center Street from the church.

Accessibility

Our Unitarian Universalist principles include the inherent worth and dignity of every person; justice equity and compassion in human relations; and acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations.

When we designed our current home in 1997, we wanted to keep our principles in mind. One of our major considerations was accessibility of the site for those who are differently abled. It is possible to wheel directly into the building, which is all on one level. Access to the patio and grounds is along paved paths with ramps available.  Accessible parking spaces are available near the building.  

We also have a long history of accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing people. We provide assistive listening devices for people who attend the service in person.

ASL interpreting/real-time captioning for services can be requested in advance here. Allow at least a week for these requests.

Past services   are available on video on this website with closed captioning.  Call the office to advise us if there is more we can do to make our services more accessible.

Parking

Parking is available in front of the building, and across Center Street in a graveled parking lot which is available on Sundays or during events.  If you are able, please park further away so that visitors and those who need to park closer to the entrance may do so.

Bike racks are also available in the main parking lot, across from the front entrance.
