The Confluence Chorus of Salem, Oregon is a diverse group of fun loving people who meet at the UUCS Church on Sundays from 4 to 6:30 PM to sing together. Starting in 2000, they have grown from the original 16 to about 50 singers now. Their goal is to create high quality music without being "stuffy".
They are an LGBT chorus that sings music celebrating and affirming the lives of gays and lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered individuals. Membership is comprised of people from these modes of life and straight people, too. They are truly open and accepting to all people. The chorus engages in community outreach and promotes Oregon civic pride, offering cultural and educational enrichment for both singers and communities.
Confluence Chorus is a 501(C)(3) corporation supported by membership dues, concert revenue, and donations from individuals and businesses.
