Volunteers are needed for hosting Salem Interfaith Hospitality NetworkSunday, July 16 – Sunday, July 30.  The UUCS hosts 3-4 families at our building for one week each quarter.  You may notice from these dates that we are hosting this time for two weeks in a row — That’s right!

During the regular hosting week of Sunday, July 16 – Sunday, July 23, we need volunteers as usual: overnight hosts, evening hosts, and dinner hosts.

During the  tag-along week of Sunday, July 23 — July 30, WE ONLY NEED OVERNIGHT HOSTS AND YOU DON’T NEED TO STAY TO SERVE BREAKFAST!

Hosting SIHN will be great practice for those who plan to participate in Sanctuary hosting. Please sign up for one or more nights.

Sign up on-line or during coffee hour in the fellowship hall  directly following service on Sunday.

SIHN in our Community

The Salem Interfaith Hospitality Network is dedicated to assisting homeless families, including about 90 children from 40 families each year. 100% of families who complete the SIHN program find a new home.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Spend the night as overnight host one night
  • Be an evening host one night
  • Join a team to help prepare dinner one night
  • Help move furnishings and clean-up when guests leave Sunday morning, April 16.

Please sign up on-line for the day and job you would like to do, or call Denise at 435-828-2273!

Thank you.
